I am a bit biased here because I like Nowak as a person, and he sent me this book as a gift (not to review).
I enjoyed the book. You can definitely tell that Nowak is a young writer, as many of the concepts come off as very idealistic. But I agree with Nowak's ideals and so I enjoyed the idealism.
Though Nowak is not an experienced, seasoned writer, the story overall flows quite well, without any unnecessary divergences or time-wasting plot devices. His passion is obvious on every page, and it is clear that the purpose of the writing is more than telling a story - Nowak is definitely interested in communicating his ideas through his stories. This can be a good or a bad thing, depending on the reader. I think art should have a message, but I also think it should be subtle. Nowak may not be that subtle, but he is off to a good start with this book and I am very excited to see what he produces in the future.
