Coronaries/Cholesterol/Chlorine

This book was very interesting!

His theory is that chlorine reacts with fats and produces a “plaque”. This happens on rubber implements used for milking animals after they are disinfected with chlorine (called “milkstone”).

The author caused atherosclerosis in chickens by giving them chlorine.

This is a very small book and most of it is just explaining heart disease itself and how it was rare before chlorination. I definitely would have liked a lot more detail. I personally think there’s more to it (wild animals have been found with atherosclerosis), but this may be a huge contribution..It’s hard to recommend this book because it’s so small, but I appreciated it.

Most of us already filter our water so this is just another reason not to drink tap water.
