Little America - Richard Byrd
There’s a lot of hoopla about Admiral Byrd.
He wrote and spoke very cleanly. He was sharp and determined and accomplished. He associated with most of the biggest names of his times. And he was smart enough and loyal enough to leave a completely clean account of this Antarctic expedition.
If there was anything suspicious about this mission, it was not in this book.
Still, Byrd is one of the most interesting characters in our history and I enjoy reading him.
