Medical Monopoly - Kevin Reese

This book was great!

Often health books don’t seem to know their audience - they’re too technical for the lay person and too simple for those already familiar with the subject. This book is designed to “wake up” the “average person,” and I think it did a great job of it.

It gives enough of an explanation to paint the picture of what’s wrong with the medical system, and how that system is (usually) incapable of helping us, especially with chronic conditions.

The average person IS dealing with chronic conditions, but they are trapped in the “Medical Monopoly” and not aware that there are other options that might actually fix their problem.

If you have someone who needs help but is devoted to their medical doctors and treatments, I recommend giving them this book. It is not too long but is just long enough to explain why the Monopoly isn’t their best choice.

A lot of people try to help their loved ones but get nowhere convincing them to do “alternative” methods instead. This book is more likely to succeed than you telling them yourself..

Disclosure: I work with @Dr.Reese, and I do get a cut of the profits from this book. But, in this case, if I didn’t think it was good I probably just wouldn’t review it. Dr. Reese really has a gift for simplifying complex medical subjects and presenting it in a gentle way that is very easy to understand.
