I’m no expert on fiction so I don’t normally review it.

But I’ve read enough of the “greats” to know that Kate Christensen is one of them.

Some years ago someone sent me this book, I loved it on the first read and even more so now on the second.

It’s definitely adult. Mature themes and coarse language. It’s very dark and very funny, exquisitely written and I agree with the People quote on the front, the main character is one of the most strongly defined and memorable of any fiction I’ve read.

This book is worth it and I’m going to buy her others.
