Power Play - Sharon Beder

This book was well-written, but I found it tedious to read. This is probably more about the subject matter than the quality of the writing.

Sometimes history reads like a chronological list of conspiracies and personal feuds. The power industry isn't much different from the other big industries in this regard, and it has a long and interesting history of manipulating things towards its interest, and messing with other players in the business.

I don't really recommend this book because I didn't gain anything specific from it, and years later I don't remember it. There are a lot of interesting things to say about the energy business, as well as production and distribution of energy, which is why so many large books have been written about it. But I didn't feel that this one added anything to the conversation.
