Rich Dad Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki

Though it is cliche to have this book on your list of top financial books, it is definitely on mine.

I have seen this book on a few lists of overrated books, and I really can’t understand why. It is clear and to the point, it hammers in its main point while delivering a lot of other golden ideas.

This book covers the gist of most other financial and success mindset book I have read, but it does it with an easy and enjoyable narrative instead of lists, as is most common in the genre.

Kiyosaki is somewhat of a love him or hate him character, and his later books I think have caused most of the divisive opinions about him, but this book is in my opinion a solid 10/10.

I can’t count how many times I’ve read and listened to this book, and I still find myself going back to it all the time. I constantly have to check myself to see if my attitude about this business decision or venture is in line with the rich dad philosophy.

I honestly think that this book should be mandatory reading for children as well as adults. Most people do grow up around the poor dad mentality, and this book is the best one I know to rewire that type of thinking.
