Sell or Be Sold - Grant Cardone

This is one of my all time favorite books, not just in the sales category.

Not only is this a great book for doing sales properly, it also outlines the very important point that we are ALL sales people, regardless of our job or position in life.

We are always trying to get our way in life, from the movie we want to watch with our partner, to the promotion we want, etc. We are always trying to sell ourselves or our ideas, and we are either good at it or not - we are either selling, or BEING sold.

I consider this mandatory reading for everyone, and especially people in business of any kind.

People have all kinds of opinions about @grantcardone, but whether you love him or hate him, this book is not about him or his opinions. Grant channeled the gods for this book and it is by far the most complete sales book that I know of.

Grant also calls out a lot of the bad practices that has given sales a bad name - particularly the snakey, fake, mimic-your-client BS of “neuro linguistic programming”. This is the book for the 21st century, which will hopefully prompt many to drop the fake guru nonsense that has suffocated this genre for the last 70 years.

This book shouldn’t just be read once. It should be studied. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read and listened to it. This is the third copy I’ve had to buy because the last two were never given back. I will buy it a hundred more times if I have to.

Highly, highly recommend.
