The Stoic Path to Wealth - Darius Foroux

I enjoyed this book!

For a financial book, it was surprisingly easy to fully understand the philosophy and investment strategy. It also featured stories of successful investors that were well written and enjoyable.

I often dread financial books. They can be so dry and daunting. They can outline strategies that I cannot see myself using, and can be so technical that I barely understand what is going on. This book was refreshingly easy.

"Easy” might sound too good to be true in this genre, but the strategies here make perfect sense to me. It’s not telling you how to make a billion dollars, it’s teaching how any individual can implement these strategies to grow their investment wealth over years and decades.

I don’t buy stocks myself. I have my reasons. But if I were to invest in “the market”, I would use these strategies. I hate risking losses and a big seller for me here is a low risk strategy.

I’ve read many investment books and this one takes all of the most sensible philosophies and combines them. There is nothing particularly revolutionary here, which I think is great - too many books rely on novelty of gimmick. It is very down to earth and I think anyone investing or thinking of investing should read this book.

Disclaimer: the author @dariusforoux sent me this book to review. I am under no obligation to give a good review and I was not paid. I genuinely liked the book and think it has solid value. Not too long or short, I think it accomplishes exactly what it needed to.
