The Magnesium Miracle - Carolyn Dean

This book was pretty good!

Magnesium has a ton of roles in the body - much more than most other nutrients. Therefore, there is a lot to say about it. Most people know that magnesium relaxes muscles, but there is a lot more to it. This book is a great overview.

A lot of this book discusses the possibility of calcium excess in our society, and magnesium deficiency. I do not agree with this, though it is a common statement and this book explains it well. I believe both mg and ca are extremely deficient in our society, and though the book agrees that both are extremely important, I am not happy with the conclusion that calcium excess is a problem.

Nonetheless, it was a good book. This is probably the best book on magnesium I have read (second favorite is The Magnesium Factor by Seelig - which is referenced heavily in this book, and this book was much better referenced than The Magnesium Factor).

I recommend this book, with a grain of salt.
