The Other Pandemic - Gregory Sweitzer

This book was wack.

The concept itself is interesting - that evil acts like a parasite. But the execution was rambly and overly philosophical. I would have loved some real-world examples.

What really turned me off is that this book avoided overt political posturing, but was definitely obviously liberal. I don’t have a problem with an author being liberal (most are), but the book took many jabs at what are now called “far right” ideas, such as the freedom to refuse medication (jabs), wear masks, and other highly charged concepts that have become huge issues in recent years.

I really didn’t think this was going to be a political book. But subtly equating MY beliefs with “evil” made the reading experience barely tolerable. The author smugly bashes my beliefs while seeming to be confident that no one with such views would read his book - many liberals seem to believe that their views are so common and self-evident that no reasonable person would disagree with them. Of course us stupid conservatives don’t read, I guess.

It shouldn’t have been political. There was no reason for it. But since the author clearly despises me and anyone else who refuses to bend over for big daddy government just because they say so, I feel the instinct to despise the author in turn. Any author should have known that talking so far down to the “other side” will automatically put them against you.

Gross. Lame. Will never read anything from this fool again.
