Tribes - Seth Godin

One night I was brought to a dance party. Since I don’t really dance, I picked this off the house book shelf and read most of it.

I’ve read a lot of books on “leadership”. Most of them are about “how to be” a leader, and most are repetitive and boring. But Godin always takes a different view.

This book was more about how the nature of leadership is different in our modern world to the old “management” structure of the past.

And possibly more importantly, this book breaks down why we actually need more real leaders in our tribes.

I recommend this one to everyone who has an idea worth taking initiative on, or a message worth leading others on.

Those who already think they are leaders should also read this. Maybe many of them are not actually leading - they’re managing!
