The Vitamin Cure for Diabetes - Ian Brighthope
I was very disappointed with this book.
The title had me very excited, but the body was very lackluster.
Considering that the author has a degree in agriculture, I assumed the book would be much more confident in its recommendations (diabetes was eliminated in animals 70+ years ago).
The book also wasn’t as detailed as I would have liked. Lots of facts were given, and plenty of references, but, overall it still felt too brief..Some of the explanations for body processes and nutrients were alright, but I definitely feel they weren’t woven together adequately.
It’s impossible for me to be unbiased on this subject because I have written a book about it myself, Everything You Should Know About Healthy Blood Sugar. Hopefully it doesn’t sound too arrogant to say that I believe mine is better, but that’s the truth.
If the title wasn’t so bold I might have been less hard on the book, but they set the bar high and didn’t follow through.
